my level fly-in

this is a little review on my fly in video i made on my level and the music i did myself on guitar i just edited it on Audacity and obs.
it went well creating the music all i had to do was obtain it from my phone by Gmail and import it to Audacity
the problem was i could not find a way to make the music loop over so i failed the first recording because the music stopped mid way.

this is what i used to do the recording
open broadcast software (obs)

it went well all the map was covered and you could see and make out what things are with ease

the problems i had were making the camera less smooth ruining

i used the pictures to show what i did and what it looks like recording this as well as adding the music.
i added music because i didn't want the person to be board just seeing my world, i wanted them to feel the world through the music and to see it in there own mind how my world looks and is.

review on my work

After listening to the audio file that me and my friend did on the research in my sketchbook  I came to understand that most of what I have conducted has been good for what Type of game I have been creating the review from my classmate was relatively good, the only problems I could give about my game would be conducting a story to basically evaluate what the game is about and what the end goal is, apart from this everything I've done in my research has been good.

Problems:
The only problem I had when doing my research was keeping my sketch book Organised and in order of character models, concept art and thought bubbles.

Fix problems: I  fixed the problems by labelling the pages adding more annotations and keeping an update on my blogger of what research I have done, this help me stay organised with my work.

adding the mushroom to my level 0.2

i have imported my mushroom into my game level and it looks amazing i have make some of them look a little different by making some bigger in size and in others i changed the texture with  different textures that were available in the starter content, i also got some trees of a free website they had no textures so i added the grass texture as the leafs and for the tree trunk i added a wood texture that was in the starter pack.

problems:
the problems i had were making the mushrooms look real with different texture because they did not fit correctly no the mushrooms head, also making other assets takes some time so i am not going to make them in 3Ds max.

fix problems:
i looked at some textures that looked like jelly and a little crazy because in this game there are 2 worlds that are in separate dimensions, one is the real world and the other is the spirit world.
i decided to fit the two together because i wanted to show both of them off.

adding the mushroom adds the feel of a vast and filled world of vegetation
and also doing bigger ones will make this world feel as if everything has changed from this one we know.

i added the images to show my level evolve over time and what has been changed.

creating my mushroom

i have finished my mushroom and it has been put into the unreal engine
it took a little longer to do but i did it the only thing i don't like is that the bottom doesn't glow but i can look past it, the mushroom will be tall in the sky and the main character can look up at them and see them as if they split the clouds in half. all the tools i used were, the bend tool relax tool and edit Polly  they let me bend the stem and let me make it so that it has a bend and curve in. the top of the mushroom was mainly edited with edit Polly and i used the uniform scale.

problems:
i struggled to make the mushroom look a little like Toad Mario because i wanted it to look fun for kids but the textures didn't look good so i changed my mind.
the top of the mushroom proved a little difficult because i was obsessed on making have a groove under the mushrooms head.

solving the problems:
i solved the problems of the mushroom trying to looking like toad so, i looked at pictures on google images of real mushrooms, and so i took some of the ideas to make it look authentic so i added a little bit in-between the head and the stem which made it look like the Amanita mushroom.

this will help me create my world with huge mushrooms and some that will glow and others will be small but they will add a a feeling that this planet has vegetation and that the planet feels alive.

creating my world

i have nearly finished doing my mushroom and i have a camp fire all i need to do now is create a power line and stairs as well as some trees and a dream catcher but it will be a little tricky doing a power line and a dream catcher so i will instead will use a door that i have already made and get some help creating my tree after that that will be my level in a nutshell, its not finished but it is play able and that is what i am planning to do make it playable. i will try and make some things move on there own and some stuff flute like huge rocks in avatar (the film).

i want to create a world that has changed and is different from the one that we live in today and will show how the world has mutated as mush as the plants and animals,
this will help me create a world from my imagination because the rocks and the mushrooms are very different from what we live with in today's world.

this image shows what i want my level to look a little like with the flowing rocks and the way the vines and vegetation looks on them.

modeling my mushroom

today i am creating a mushroom in 3ds max i am using a cylinder (as the base) and a sphere (as the head) i have had a little help making it from a class mate be basically helped me mold the shape by telling me what tools to use such as edit Polly and using the different move tool to move different areas of the Polly also i used the bend tool to bend it slightly to make it look more normal and it will be a lot bigger than normal mushrooms because it has be evolved through time.
all i need to do is attach the head and the body together and then take a UVW map to Photoshop to add some textures to it so it looks cool and different because its going to be huge so i am going to make it glow whirls still making it look like moss and stuff are on its body.

doing this will help my would feel mush more filled with mutated plants and fungi

the images allow me to show how my work is going and how close i am to finishing the mushroom

character face model and research

this is the character models face but it was hard to crate the hair so i left it out.
it has some face pain on him and also the eyes are not normal , they are evolved humans so they will look different. also they give him the ability to seance good and bad people as well as giving him the ability to see thing move slower if we wants, and every one who has survived the evolution  has a special ability but this boy has 2 and he has no idea that he is the only 1.

problems:
the problems i had doing this was i didn't save enough time to create a full body character model so it looks very plain in quantity

fix problems:
the face paint i have put on the character was inspired by Tiger Lily from peter pan movie and some of the marking are from tribal men pictures i have seen on google images.

(Tiger Lily & image is from google images http://shenandoahliterary.org/snopes/2016/03/30/revisiting-peter-pan/ )

This research will help me with creating a character that will look an in Indian and i hope some
people can tell and make the reference to Tiger Lily.

adding the images helped me make show the reference to Tiger Lily's face paint and how my character models is similar.
